Digital innovators are a
small team of teaching staff at Plantsbrook School who are working on a 12 month school-based research project. ‘Using
iPads to enhance learning in the classroom’.
Each Digital Innovator will use their own iPad to support them
with their project work and use a set of 8 iPads in
their own classrooms as part of the project.
Digital Innovators will be embarking upon active research to develop good and outstanding practice in the use of
iPads. They work in conjunction and
with the support of The Leader of Learning through ICT. They will be investigating the creative and innovative use of iPad apps and tools to support teaching and
learning across the curriculum. They
will make use of their own set of 8 iPads in their classroom teaching and also
have access to two bookable sets of iPads.
They will regularly share their research with other staff via their own blog linked to this hub. They work collaboratively to lead on
CPD in the use of iPads in
the classroom. They will
develop their own knowledge and understanding of new and emerging technologies and
get the opportunity to share this with other teachers at Plantsbrook and with
teachers from partner schools through the Teaching School and the Plantsbrook Learning Trust.
